About Mariana
Mariana is a Spanish native speaker born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina. She studied at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and became a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. She later moved to the United States where she taught full time Spanish at public high schools and did translations part-time. She got her MA from Saint Michael's College, VT and she also worked as an ESL teacher.
At the present Mariana is a full-time translator and medical interpreter. Mariana also works as a freelancer for Duolingo contributing to the Spanish and English courses by creating content, reviewing, and translating. Mariana also volunteers as a translator for Vegan Outreach, a non-profit organization working to end violence against animals.
When Mariana is not working, you can see her outside training for triathlons, running, and riding her bike.
